Data is gathered on victims and offenders of homicide including location, time, date and cause of death, motives and other situational factors, and various characteristics of offender and victim: age, gender, Indigenous status, employment status, prior criminal history, and relationship between victim and offender. One of the recent analyses is specifically of Indigenous homicide data.
