Provides data collected between June and December of 2009 on the Northern Territory Emergency Response to reports of abuse and neglect against children, represented in The Little Children are Sacred report. The measures were designed to protect children in the Northern Territory from abuse and neglect and improve the situation of Indigenous people in the Northern Territory. Part two of the report provides more detailed analysis by sub measure of the NTER. This includes summaries of developments and progress, reasons for the non-achievement of targets and potential lessons from these limitations, changes in policy direction and areas of data limitation and actions taken to resolve these. The analysis summarises areas such as health, early childhood and education, economic participation, governance and safety and police presence.
