Description
Funded by the Federal Attorney General’s Department, the Indigenous Community Night Patrol Evaluation Project reviewed, evaluated and compared Indigenous community night patrol initiatives in Western Australia and New South Wales, in order to determine the effectiveness of night patrol initiatives on community safety rates. The two night patrol initiatives represent very different approaches: one implemented within a defined statutory legal framework and primarily through existing WA government agencies; and the other primarily a community-managed approach initiated via the NSW government.
