The Indigenous Justice Clearinghouse (IJC) is inviting expressions of interest from experienced researchers and peak community organisations to join the IJC Reference Group.
The IJC is a joint project of the Council of Attorneys-General (CAG) and the Australian Institute of Criminology (AIC). The IJC aims to deliver relevant and accessible information to policy makers and those working in the Indigenous justice field in Australia and New Zealand. The NSW Department of Communities and Justice implements the strategic advice received from the IJC Reference Group.
The IJC Reference Group provides high level strategic advice that assists the IJC achieve its aim of delivering relevant and accessible information to policy makers and those working in the Indigenous justice field in Australia and New Zealand.
Members of the IJC Reference Group also facilitate engagement with key stakeholders including Australian and New Zealand justice agencies, researchers, and organisations working in the Indigenous justice field.
The IJC Reference Group meets at least twice a year and no more than every quarter by phone or in person.
Interested researchers and peak community organisations should submit an expression of interest to ijc@justice.nsw.gov.au. Expressions of interest should demonstrate your experience dealing with Indigenous justice issues. Expressions of interest will be considered on a rolling basis.
